| We got about 10 inches of snow last Thursday/Friday and schools ACTUALLY got cancelled here in Chicagoland. They rarely cancel schools due to inclement weather, but it was a happy day for students that day, but more so for the teachers - including Mitchel. So, what did we do? Play in the snow of course!
Calvin had fun watching Nala hopping around all over the yard and Mitchel trying to catch her. He finally did.
I think Calvin enjoyed the winter wonderland.

| For the first time, we were able to video chat w/ our family back home and it was really neat. The grandparents got to see their grandson and chat w/ him and even Nala made her appearance online. She even went and got her bone at Sylvia's command. Smart dog she is. Technology is amazing sometimes.

| Lately, I've been into cooking and baking all sorts of foods. I never thought I'd enjoy cooking, but I do. That was actually one of my fears in getting married, b/c I never really got into it! But, I've had lots of practice over the past 3 and a half years, and I think I've improved quite a bit. So I've been craving enchildadas, and I decided to make it yesterday. It was a lot of work, since I had never made it before. It turned out okay, but I put in way too much garlic and today, all I can taste is garlic. yuck!
I've been staying indoors this whole week b/c it has been FREEZING here in Chicago. Below zero degrees is no fun. Even Nala rushes right in after she does her business. And Calvin wears a snowsuit if we have to go anywhere.
